Tamizhaga Puthiya Latchiyam Amaippusara Kattumana Thozhilargal Sangam
We, Tamizhaga Puthiya Latchiyam Amaippusara Kattumana Thozhilargal Sangam (TPLAKTS) are the organisation created to extend our service to help the needy people in the growth of their livelihood. We also create awareness about the Government Welfare Schemes. The people eligible to the Government Welfare schemes are either unorganised civil construction workers or unorganised agricultural workers is emergence of geographical, regional, social and livelihood issues.
For instance, the livelihood of the agriculturalists in farming sector is greatly affected because of the failure of monsoons and many other natural calamities. The affected people do not have any alternative source of employment beyond agriculture and its allied sector. This pathetic situation drags women to become construction workers, their husbands as migrant workers and their children turned into child labours instead of going to school.
Tamizhaga Puthiya Latchiyam Amaippusara Kattumana Thozhilargalsangam (TPLAKTSI) blossomed to organise, educate, aware and unite on various government welfare, relief and development schemes. Thus, TPIAKTS was started in 2007 and registered under Tamilnadu State Trade Union Registration Act 1926. It is governed by a Seven Members Executive Committee. Besides, 21,000 members are enrolled from districts of Salem, Namakkal, Dharmapuri, Pudukkottai, Sivagangai, Thirunelveli, Tuticorin, Sivakasi and so on.
